Teen Programs

The Puyallup Public Library offers free programs for teens and young adults (ages 13+ or grades 7+) throughout the school year. Teens can drop in for Anime Club, gaming days, crafting, and the League of Teen Advisors volunteer group. All teen programs are offered through funding from The Friends of the Puyallup Public Library.

If you would like to be added to our monthly electronic newsletter about teen programs, please email Young Adult Librarian Bonnie Svitavsky to be added to our mailing list.

Happy Trees & Monstrosities

Wednesday, November 15th, 3:00 - 5:00 pm

Library Meeting Rooms

Take a tired old painting and make it about a million times better... by monsterizing it! We'll supply the paintings - classic landscapes, portraits, or cottages - and you can make them amazing by adding a monster or your own sense of style. Want to see examples? Check out this article!

Registration is required and space is limited. Contact the library at 253.841.5454 or puylib@ci.puyallup.wa.us to sign up.

The canyon monsters image comes from Driscoll Reid's monster painting series.
Games Day for Web

Puyallup Games Day

Saturday, November 18th

The library recently discovered a hidden chest and picture within the building. While we are eager to open the chest, the lock has proven impossible to open and we're concerned about damaging what's inside if we force it. Instead, we were hoping that you could use the picture to unlock the secrets of what lies within. Do you have what it takes to unlock the mysterious chest?

Teams will have 45 minutes to solve a series of puzzles and riddles using clues, hints, and strategy in this escape room-type experience. Registration is required. This program is for ages 8 and up, though children ages 8 - 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Contact the library at 253.841.5454 or puylib@ci.puyallup.wa.us to sign up. Each session is for groups of 4-8 players. Please be aware that we may pair you with other players.

There are five Breakout! session times throughout the day:
  • Session 1: 10:00 - 10:45 am
  • Session 2: 11:15 am - 12:00 pm
  • Session 3: 1:15 - 2:00 pm
  • Session 4: 2:30 - 3:15 pm
  • Session 5: 3:45 - 4:30 pm
